{"id":87617,"date":"2011-08-01T18:45:46","date_gmt":"2011-08-01T18:45:46","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.troutdesign.com\/blog\/?p=22"},"modified":"2024-11-04T20:16:48","modified_gmt":"2024-11-04T20:16:48","slug":"ciao-bella","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/troutdesign.com\/?p=87617","title":{"rendered":"Ciao Bella?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The DC MUD blog<br \/>\nJuly 21, 2011<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.valordev.com\/Project_details.aspx?D=11\">Valor Development<\/a> is moving forward with its current vision to turn the former\u00a0Italian Embassy\u00a0at 2700 16th St., NW into a residential complex &#8211; known as &#8220;Il Palazzo&#8221; &#8211; and will visit the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/planning.dc.gov\/DC\/Planning\/Historic+Preservation\">Historic Preservation Review Board<\/a> (HPRB) next week for design approval.<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/2.bp.blogspot.com\/-RF1Q7AigfDE\/TiX0y7Bvd1I\/AAAAAAAAAWs\/yB1cDTjAqo4\/s1600\/Italian%2BEmbassy%2BOK%2Bto%2Buse.bmp\"><img decoding=\"async\" id=\"BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5631176064772306770\" src=\"http:\/\/2.bp.blogspot.com\/-RF1Q7AigfDE\/TiX0y7Bvd1I\/AAAAAAAAAWs\/yB1cDTjAqo4\/s400\/Italian%2BEmbassy%2BOK%2Bto%2Buse.bmp\" alt=\"\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a>Valor has submitted\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.troutdesign.com\/embassy.html\">design schematics<\/a> for the preservation of the existing 3-story limestone building and the addition of two towers (5 and 8-stories tall), time will tell if the concepts by\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.troutdesign.com\/\">Trout Design Studio<\/a> will sink or swim with the HPRB.
