{"id":2599,"date":"2021-04-02T16:13:21","date_gmt":"2021-04-02T16:13:21","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/trout.kinggraphicdesign.com\/?p=2599"},"modified":"2024-11-04T20:10:54","modified_gmt":"2024-11-04T20:10:54","slug":"a-logan-circle-condo-has-unusual-access-to-its-roof-deck","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/troutdesign.com\/?p=2599","title":{"rendered":"A Logan Circle condo has unusual access to its roof deck"},"content":{"rendered":"\r\n<p>The Washington Post<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>April 2, 2021<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>In a first, this is a story about<a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/news\/where-we-live\/wp\/2013\/11\/08\/house-of-the-week-logan-circle-victorian-for-4-4-million\/?itid=lk_inline_manual_2\">\u00a0a previously featured House of the Week<\/a>. But it\u2019s nothing like the house that was written about more than seven years ago. The Logan Circle Victorian, once a bed-and-breakfast, is now a boutique condo building, and this penthouse is part of its new, modern wing.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>The wing was built in 2017 on the garden lot next to the original 1887 house and was joined with it to form a U-shaped building. Although the exterior mimics the older home and maintains the look of D.C.\u2019s Logan Circle historic district, the interior goes in a different direction.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>\u201cThis side was always intended to be modern and very open,\u201d said architect Michael Beidler of\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.troutdesign.com\/index.html\">Trout Design Studio,\u00a0<\/a>who worked on the project with the developer, Matt Shkor of\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.pcgofdc.com\/index.html\">Potomac Construction Group<\/a>.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons is-layout-flex wp-block-buttons-is-layout-flex\">\r\n<div class=\"wp-block-button\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/realestate\/a-logan-circle-condo-has-unusual-access-to-its-roof-deck\/2021\/04\/01\/e2975c00-90e7-11eb-bb49-5cb2a95f4cec_story.html\">Read Full Article Here<\/a><\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Washington Post April 2, 2021 In a first, this is a story about\u00a0a previously featured House of the Week.
